Переглядів 30316 годин тому
I don’t keep honey bees or hives, but I do have a lot of solo bees or Mason bees around my garden. In this video I will be making a DIY bee house for them. This project can also be used to create an insect house. All you’ll need to do is change out the straws for twigs, branches, moss, and pieces of wood.
What is DE? Diatomaceous Earth / Organic Pest Control
Переглядів 56514 днів тому
Diatomaceous earth is the perfect way to organically control pest in the garden. Using DE is a slow and steady way to prevent insect damage and infestations in your garden. It’s simple to use. All you need to do is dust your leafy greens, your vining plants, and make sure to get it into the corners and edges of of your raised beds. That is where a lot of garden pest like to hide.

    I'm enjoying the angels who visit you in your garden from time to time. 🕊️ I'll reiterate that your method of filming is superb as it gives your audience a glimpse of the world through your eyes. We focus and zoom in on the very same elements that catch your eyes and attention. Brilliant!👏 Eggplants are an interesting vegetable with origins in Africa, India, and China! Keep sowing, keep growing! Literally and figuratively. 😉

    Wow, finally someone else with Maasai ancestry! My Black ancestors are originally from the eastern low country(south carolina Georgia Florida)and Tennessee and then migrated to Oklahoma, and then my grandparents settled in Seattle. And most of the people you mentioned all show up in my and my fathers and Aunty's ancestry test! For me, igbo and ibibio are the majority followed by yoruba,(Nigeria)then mende and or temne(sierra leone) Central African Congolese generally west african. Generally Kenyan, maasai, north african and then theres Polynesian, native American and then eskimo inuit. And a drop of baltic European. my father and Aunty also has akan asante, south asian, Nigerian congolese. I have a feeling that my ancestors were enslaved by indigenous tribes because both my black grandparents didn't have white admixture, but they did have indigenous admixture more than the drop of European that showed up. And most likely the indigenous people who enslaved my ancestors were probably mixed with European, and then procreated by way of rape into our bloodline. But yeah, i wonder if we must have some common history.

    Only one pair, chromosome 23 determines the gender. Genetically, a person actually carries more of his/her mother's genes than his/her father's. The reason is little organelles that live within cells, the mitochondria, which are only received from a mother.

    Im 99% Native American 1%Spain. In my DNA, I have no DNA connection to Siberia or Asia. WHAT!? In my research, I found out that Innuit are closely related to Siberian and Asian tribes. Some Innuit do not claim Native American. In my research, one tribe in Siberia, the Ket people, are Native Am. They speak Athabaskan dialect, unlike the nearby tribes. So, on many federal applications, it will state both Innuit/Native American tribes. Navajo, like Apache, and 49 other tribes in North America are dialects of the Athabaskan in Canada. Navajos came from the North and settled in NM and Az.

    The watermelon needs to be placed with the rind UP and the inside of the watermelon DOWN. The DE treatment just doesn't eliminate enough of the bugs to save the seedlings. Most effective for a big infestation is Sluggo Plus -- an organic treatment. (Make sure it's Sluggo Plus, not the regular Sluggo product.) Also, it helps to wait to transplant the seedlings until they are more mature. I had a big problem with the critters and with the Sluggo Plus and removing them by hand in early morning and at night, I finally beat them.

    • @thebusybrownangel5829
      @thebusybrownangel5829 18 днів тому

      Hello! Thanks for the info. For me, there are too many mixed results on Sluggo Plus being harmful to earthworms. Some test say it is. Others say Sluggo isn’t. Of course Sluggo Plus is a different composition than regular Sluggo, but I’d rather wait until more testing is done. As for the watermelon, I did it both ways to see which way was more efficient. Thank you for watching and for commenting. Have a blessed day 💚
